Krems University in Austria wants to work closer with Vietnamese universities to set up a school for training in the tourism sector up to international standards, the university’s president, Dr. Mag Boyer Heinz, has said.
Dr. Heinz stated this at his meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan on Feb. 14 in Hanoi.

The president said the University always works closely with businesses and economic sectors to ensure job experience for its students after graduation, adding that Krems is business oriented and also creative when devising training schemes.

He stressed that the setting up of a new university in Vietnam will develop the country’s huge potential for tourism.

Deputy PM Nhan praised the level of recent cooperation between Vietnam and Austria in education and training, especially between Vietnam Commercial University and Krems University , and said he hopes that Austria will continue to share its modern training technologies and methods with Vietnam .

He also spoke highly of Krems University ’s suggestion to form a closer relationship, adding that the idea will promote high quality education and training for both countries.
