Day 1: Luang Prabang Bike and Trek to Ban Long Lao 

Today grab your bike and cycle south of Luang Prabang approximately 20km to Ban Thin Som. Here begin a trek through local farms to visit a Kamu village. After lunch, hike up the mountains and enjoy the spectacular surrounding views before arriving at Bat Long Lao where you can spend time observing everyday life and culture around the village. In the evening enjoy a spiritual Baci Ceremony with the local community and dinner with a local family.

Day 2: Ban Long Lao Homestay  – Trek to Kuang Si Waterfall

Breakfast will be served at the headman’s house then you have some time to explore around the village. Begin the trek through a valley which has a forest preserve. Hike approximately 3 hours to Kuang Si waterfall, the falls cascade over many calcified tiers and down several hundred feet into a series of cool, turquoise pools. The water here has a clear blue-green tint due to the high mineral content. Enjoy swimming if you wish. After lunch in front of the falls, then continue down to visit the bear rescue centre. In the late afternoon drive back to Luang Prabang.
